Obituary
James B. Rudd Of Wahpeton Dies Saturday
James B. Ruud, 74, rural Wahpeton died Saturday evening at St Francis hospital where he had been a patient sine August 13. Death was attributed to a heart ailment.
Born in Otter Tail County, Minn., June 15, 1883, he moved with his parents to Wheaton when three years old and when 20 years old, they moved to the Center Township farm where he had lived ever since. Sister, Julia had resided with him on the farm. He had never married.
He is survived by two sisters. Julia now residing at Broen Memorial Rest Home in Fergus Falls and Mrs. Amos (Elizabeth) Viland of Veblin, S.D., and three nephews.
His father died in April 1914, and mother in October 1928. Two brothers and four sisters preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at Schmitt-Poulton Funeral Home here Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. CDT with Rev. M. F. Sietta of Lutheran Brethern church of Fergus Falls officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Friends may call at Schmitt-Poulton Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon and evening and until the service Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Slotten, Nels Skovholt, Carl Fladby, James Score, Ernest Huss and Bennett Peterson.
