Obituary
Mathias A. Rindahl
Services for Mathias A. Rindahl, 88, of Wahpeton were Monday afternoon at Bethel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton, with Rev. Robert A. Olson and Rev. Marvin L. Hartmann officiating. Burial was at Garden of Christus, Wahpeton.
Mr. Rindahl died unexpectedly at his home Friday evening.
Honorary casketbearers were Oscar Lee, Vincent Baad, William Bragg, Leonard Jensen, Vernon Hektner, Rudolph Sparby, and Arthur L. Johnson.
Active casket bearers were James, Bryce and Keith Vorache, Milton Rindahl, Gerald Erickson, and Edmund Albrecht.
He married Violet Edith Hansen July 3, 1912 at St. Paul, Minn. They moved to North Dakota in 1915. They farmed in the Fairdale and Edmore, N.D. area until 1942. They worked in a shipyard defense works in Sausalito, Calif. until 1945 when they moved to Wahpeton, where he was a plumber and carpenter until his retirement in 1953.
He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Harmony Senior Citizens Club, Inc. and the Senior Citizens.
Survivors are his wife; a son, Melvin of Hillsboro; a daughter, Mrs. Harriet Voracheck of Wahpeton; a brother, August, of Norway; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sisters, and one grandchild.
