Walter Rudolph

Walter G. Rudolph, 66, Wahpeton, formerly Barney, died Saturday, June 20 at Otter Tail Lake. The funeral will be at 2 Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton, with Rev. Ernest Bartels officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.

Visitation will be Monday afternoon and evening with a prayer service at 7:30 at the Vertin's-Wahpeton Funeral Home Chapel. There will also be visitation at the chapel Tuesday until 11 a.m. and at the church for the hour prior to services.

He was born Dec. 25, 1914 at Barney to Carl and Martha (Denow) Rudolph, Sr. He was raised in Barney Township. In 1943 he purchased a farm in Antelope Township near Barney. He married Darlene Fahsholz, Nov. 16, 1944 at Barney. The couple farmed in Antelope Township and retired in 1969. In 1975 they moved into Wahpeton.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. While at Barney he served on the finance committee of Peace Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Evan (Carol) Hass, Fargo; Mrs. Douglas (Judy) Peterson, Morris, Minn.; three grandsons; two brothers, Carl, Jr., Mooreton and Alvin, Barney.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.

Casket bearers will be nephews: John Gagelin, Merlyn Mindeman, Curtis, Rodney, Rick and Terry Rudolph, and David Mindeman.
