Infant Son of Former Residents Dies Tuesday
Karl Thomas Ulsaker Brought To Wahpeton For Last Rites Friday Afternoon
Funeral services for Karl Thomas, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Ulsaker, of Upham, will be held Friday afternoon at two o’clock from Bethel Lutheran church, with Rev. P. A. Gisvold in charge. The body lies in state at the Schmitt & Olson chapel.
Karl Thomas Ulsaker was born Nov. 28, 1939, and died Tuesday at Trinity hospital in Minot of an ear infection and complications.
His parents, who are former residents of this vicinity are well known here, his mother being the former Miss Mabel Gran of Campbell, and Lawrence being the son of Mrs. O. K. Ulsakers, pioneer Wahpeton resident and the late Mr. Ulsaker. Mrs. Ulsaker Sr. who makes her home with her son, is here for the funeral. Lawrence is in charge of a CCC unit near Minot.
Special music at the funeral will be by Mr and Mrs. J. Meyer Johnson and will include the number, “Asleep in Jesus.” Following the service, interment will be in the family lot in Fairview cemetery.
Surviving the baby are his parents, a brother Lawrence Gran, age 3½ years and a sister Sonja, two years old.
