Arleen Bladow
September 4, 1929 — March 7, 2014
Funeral services for Arleen Bladow, 84, Breckenridge, MN will be held on Monday, June 23, 2014 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wahpeton, ND at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Morris Stephens officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton, ND. Arleen died on March 7, 2014 at Essentia Healthcare in Fargo, ND.
Arleen Bladow was born on September 4, 1929 at Hankinson, ND to Edward and Lena (Polfuss) Bladow. She was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Hankinson on September 29, 1929 and confirmed at St. John's on June 20, 1943. She received her formal education at the Belford Township School and Hankinson Public school; graduating in 1947. Arleen was employed at the Linn Harris Café of Wahpeton until she moved to Minneapolis, MN where her last employment was with Northwest Airlines; which she retired from in 1995. In 1995 she moved to Jamestown, ND to live with her brother, Roger Nordstrom. After Roger passed away in 1997 she moved to Wahpeton, ND.
Arleen was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Belford Township and a former member of Faith Lutheran Church, Minneapolis, MN and Concordia Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND. She was a current member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton, ND.
She is survived by a sister Darlys Stack, Burnsville, MN and several nieces and nephews.
Arleen was preceded in death by her parents, two infant sisters; Georgina and Dorothy and four sisters, Erma (Hilding) Johnson, Doris (Karston) Furness, Marjorie (Warren) Olson and Marlys (Marlin) Coyle, her brother Roger (Marie) Nordstrom and a niece Connie Doll.
