Obituary
Mabel Dobricka, 93, Wahpeton, died Saturday, April 5, 1986, at Wahpeton Health Care Center. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. Breckenridge United Methodist Church. The Rev. Lavern Johnson will officiate. Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.
Visitation will start at 2 p.m. today (Tuesday) and will continue through the evening at Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service at the church Wednesday.
She was born Aug. 1, 1892, to John and Flora (Brown) Eichhorn at Everly, Iowa. She grew up and attended school there and later worked on her parents' farm. She married Carl Dobricka Sept. 17, 1913, at Sioux Falls, S.D. They farmed in Iowa for a few years, then in 1920 they moved to a farm near Fairmount, N.D. In 1928 they moved to Breckenridge where he worked for the Redlinger-Hanson Construction Company, later the city of Breckenridge, then the Great Northern Railroad. He preceded her in death Sept. 8, 1971. She lived in Breckenridge until December 1976 when she moved to the Wahpeton Health Care Center.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, former member of the Wahpeton Eagles Auxiliary and Breckenridge VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Wallace (Luverna) Hauschild, Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Lorene Jerome, Breckenridge; Mrs. Charles W. (June) Edwards, Wahpeton; seven grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchild; one sister, Orin (Lila) Ebel, Wahpeton. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, two sisters and a brother.
Casketbearers will be Verland Meyer, Robert Muellenbach, LeRoy Berg Jr., Leslie and James Berg, and LaVerne Eichhorn.
