Fairfax, Minn - Clifford J. Dahm, 74, Fairfax died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Minneapolis.
Mr. Dahm was born Nov. 29, 1925, in Wahpeton, N.D. He attended school in Breckenridge, Minn. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1947 in France and Germany. On Oct. 21, 1945, he married Armella "Jackie" Heitkamp in Camp Bowie, Texas. After his military discharge, they lived in Wahpeton, where he drove a city bus and was a foreman for Rosemead Pottery Co. He operated businesses in Staples, Minn., then returned to Wahpeton, where he worked as a salesman for Sears, Roebuck and Co. He also managed Earth 11, Marshall, Minn., before returning to Breckenridge. He was then self-employed in the Wahpeton-Breckenridge area until retiring. He later lived in North Dakota, Arizona and Fairfax. She died in 1992.
He is survived by five sons, Cliff Jr. (Patty), Ron (Delaine), both Marshall, Bob (Donita), Jordan, Minn., Jeff (Vickie), Wahpeton, Mark (Pam), Sioux Falls, S.D.; three daughters, Pat (Steve) Clobes, Fairfax, Cindy (Joe) Barth, Sioux Falls, Mary (Jan) Vagts, Breckenridge; two brothers, Ted (Shelly), Creek Junction, Ore., Gerald (Monica), Devils Lake, N.D.; three sisters, Dorothy (Warren) Scribner, Staples, Minn., Frances Gretel, Orange, Calif., Virginia Gilbertson, Black Canyon, Ariz.; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Saturday from noon to 2 in Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton. Funeral: Saturday at 2 in the funeral home. Burial: Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.
