Obituary
Myrtle Gutzmer
Myrtle C. Gutzmer, 48, Breckenridge, died Thursday, Jan. 26 at St. Ansgar Hospital, Moorhead. The funeral will be at 10:30 Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rev. Ernest Bartels officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Wahpeton.
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon and evening with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Vertin's-Wahpeton Funeral Home Chapel. There will also be visitation at the church for the hour prior to the service.
Myrtle Clara Ebel was born May 30, 1934 at Lidgerwood, to Erich and Lydia (Wahl) Ebel. She was raised there and graduated from Lidgerwood High School. She married Richard O. Gutzmer Oct. 8, 1960 at Lidgerwood. Before her marriage she worked at Cox Bakery, Wahpeton, and a bakery in Fergus Falls. The couple resided in Breckenridge. She had been employed at the Wahpeton Elks Lodge for the past several years.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the church circle.
Survivors include her husband, two sons and a daughter, all at home, Kim, Roxanne and Jay; her mother, Mrs. Lydia Ebel, Lidgerwood; and Earl, Van Wert, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her father and a sister.
