Obituary
Ed Homme
Ed Homme, 73, Barnesville, Minn., died Friday, June 18 in a Moorhead Hospital.
He was born Aug. 17, 1908, on his parents' farm near McCauleyville, Minn., where he attended school and grew to manhood.
He moved to Barnesville in 1930 and married Clara Schuler in 1930. She died in 1936. He later married Edith (Betty) Spearbeck in Milbank, S.D.
He worked for the Clay County Highway Department for 22 years until retirement.
He is survived by two sons and six daughters; Donald, Mr. Prospect, Ill.; Delbert, Fargo; Mrs. Duane (Connie) Branden, Barnesville; Myrna Tollzmann, Barnesville; Mrs. Arden (Dixie) Johnson, and Mrs. Mitzi Wateland, both Moorhead, Minn.; Mrs. Victor (LaVonne) Wibe, San Diego, Calif.; and Mrs. Jack (Roxanne) Boesen, Villa Park, Ill.
Two brothers and one sister, Fran and Donald Homme, Westmount, Ill.; and Mrs. Wesley (Myrtle) Bierley, Encinitas, Calif.; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. James Church, Barnesville. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Wahpeton.
