Obituary
Everett Dale Jones, known as Dale, was born September 6, 1930, at Fargo ND, the son of Everett and Annie (Dierke) Jones. He lived near Mooreton, ND, until he was four and moved to Colfax, ND area, where he attended school. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was untied in marriage on May 12, 1952, to Doris Meyer at Peace Lutheran Church, Barney, ND. He was honorably discharged on December 15, 1959 and returned to the area and opened Meyer-Jones Farm Store in Wahpeton with Alfred Meyer. They opened Meyer-Jones Farm Store in Lisbon, ND in 1980. Dale retired in 1985 and continued living in Wahpeton until January of this year when they moved to Twin Town Villa in Breckenridge, MN.
Dale was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church, Breckenridge. He was a member of the Wahpeton VFW and American Legion.
Dale is survived by his wife of 54 years, Doris Jones, Breckenridge, MN; their daughter, Lynette (Dale) Gilles, rural Wahpeton; his two granddaughters, Dawn (Stacy) Buckhouse, Breckenridge, MN and two great-grandsons, Carter and Noah, Laura Gilles (Travis Iverson), Doran, MN; and his sister, Jean (Sam) Hill, Wahpeton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Annie Jones; his brother, Kenneth Jones; and his brother-in-law, Jim Meyer.
