Obituary

Allison "Buzz" Krimbill, 68, Wahpeton, ND died on Tuesday evening, November 4, 2008 at Fairview University Hospital, Minneapolis, MN after a courageous battle with cancer.

Allison Steve Krimbill, lovingly known as "Buzz" to his family and many friends, a long time resident of Wahpeton, ND was born on April 2, 1940 in San Diego, CA to Allison C. "Buzz" and Florence Krimbill. The family moved to South Dakota in 1947 settling in Mitchell, where he attended public schools and graduated from Mitchell High School in 1958. In June, 1965 he was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. For the next thirty-eight years he worked as a professional engineer for Control Data Corporation and 3M Corporation where he retired as the chief engineer of the 3M-Imation facility in Wahpeton, ND. A man with many interests, he never tired of his many close friendships, especially Jack and Pat Mallow. He very much enjoyed the outdoors; fishing, bird watching, walking, spending time at his remote cabin in northern Minnesota, his winter home in Florida and enjoyed travel to several Mexican resorts and the special Caribbean cruises with his living companion, Carol. He enjoyed stamp collecting, playing bridge, solving puzzles and reading, which occupied the times that he was away from his children and grand children; who have always been the focus of his life.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife and best friend of 37 years, Zorada in 1999, his grandson, Nicholas Manning and his mother and father, Florence and Allison "Buzz" Krimbill.

He is survived by his two sons, Mark (Diane) Krimbill, Wahpeton, ND, Michael Krimbill, Greenville, SC and his daughter, Susan (Micheal) Wischnak, Gainesville, TX, three grandchildren, Rory Krimbill, Fargo, ND, Samantha and Justin Manning, Wahpeton, ND, a brother, Norman Krimbill, Highlands Ranch, CO, a sister Shirley Jenkins, Parker, CO., his stepmother, Emma "Cookie" Krimbill, Mitchell, SD, uncle and aunt Merritt and Marjorie Webster, and his very special loving companion, Carol Danner, Wayzata, MN and her family.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society.

God's speed "Buzz', you will be missed greatly, until we meet again......
