Obituary
Amanda Lien, 85, Pelican Rapids, Minn., formerly Breckenridge, died Wednesday, June 18, 1986, at Pelcan Rapids. The funeral service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Breckenridge Lutheran Church, with Rev. Eugene Floistad officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.
Visitation will be Sunday beginning at 3 p.m. at Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, and continue through the evening. There will also be visitation at the church one hour prior to the service.
Amanda Osmundson was born Nov, 30, 1900, at Dwight, N.D., to Carl and Ricka (Peterson) Osmundson. She grew up and attended school in the Dwight area and worked at home. She was united in marriage to Andrew Lien Sept. 15, 1921, at Moorhead, Minn. They made their home in Wahpeton and in 1944 they moved to California. Her husband died in 1954. While in California she worked for Rockwell International in Los Angeles until she retired in 1964. She then returned to Breckenridge in 1965.
She was a member of the Breckenridge Lutheran Church and the ALCW.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Grace Lien, Eagle Rock, Calif.; three sons, John, Breckenridge; Robert, Dent, Minn.; James, Marianna, Fla.; 21 grand-children, 19 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Rose Sorenson, Breckenridge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and two brothers.
