Eileen J. Larson
January 30, 1938 — August 31, 2015
Eileen J. Larson, 77, of Battle Lake, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015, at the Battle Lake Good Samaritan Center in Battle Lake.
Eileen JoAnn was born on January 30, 1938, to Reuben and Emma (Pasbrig) Stoltenow, in Breckenridge. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion EUB in Great Bend, ND. She attended school until 8th grade in Great Bend and then graduated from Wahpeton High School. After high school, she attended NDSCS for a time and then graduated from Westmar College in LeMars, IA in 1959.
On July 14, 1959, she married Lowell Larson at Zion EUB in Great Bend, ND. They farmed near Dwight, ND, until 1985. Together they moved to Battle Lake, where she lived until the time of her death.
Eileen worked for many years as a caterer and was member of the Henning Senior Citizens Group and enjoyed baking, cooking and entertaining.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben and Emma; her husband, Lowell, in 2007; her brother, Manville Stoltenow; and a sister, Eleanor Fitzgerald.
She is survived by her son, Lavel (Emily) Larson of Battle Lake; two grandchildren, Raven (Travis) Cain of Alpha and Maverick Larson of Battle Lake; and a brother, Earl Stoltenow of Great Bend, ND.
