Obituary
Ernest Laboda
The funeral for Ernest Laboda, 76, a resident of the Wheaton area for 28 years and former Richland County resident, was Monday, Dec. 27, at Ranney Funeral Chapel, Wheaton, with burial in Wahpeton. He died Dec. 23.
Ernest Laboda was born Dec. 5, 1906, at Hankinson to Carl and Elise Laboda. He grew up in Greendale Township until 1954 when he moved to Wheaton. He continued farming in that area and married Alice Nellis March 26, 1955. In 1978 he entered Browns Valley Nursing Home.
Mr. Laboda was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church of Great Bend.
Survivors include: his wife, Alice, Wheaton; one sister, Ida Laboda, Fargo; two brothers, Reuben, Wahpeton; and Henry, Graceville.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
