Florence Leshovsky

Mrs. Arthur (Florence) Leshovsky, 84, Wahpeton, died Sunday, May 22, at St. Francis Hospital, Breckenridge. The funeral will be at 10:30 Wednesday at Vertin's-Wahpeton Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Howard Jording officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.

Visitation is Tuesday afternoon and evening with a prayer service at 7:30 and Wednesday until the time of the service at the chapel.

Casket bearers will be Chester, Dale, Clarence and Larry Leshovsky, Dale and Duane Thimjon.

Florence was born June 24, 1898 in Genoshe, Poland to Monti and Manthe Zilkie. She attended school in Germany and came to the country to Chicago when she was 16. She was employed in Chicago and later came to the Tyler, N.D. area. She married Arthur Leshovsky Nov. 10, 1920 at Wahpeton. They farmed in the Tyler-Wahpeton area the last 40 years in Center Township. They retired in 1956 and continued to live on the farm.

Survivors include her husband, four sisters, Mrs. Martha Beutler and Mrs. Lydia Hertal, both of West Germany; Mrs. Erna Gensch and Mrs. Otelia Kancurzewski, both of East Germany, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by five brothers.
