Mrs. Lawrence Nater
The funeral for Mrs. Lawrence (Sophie) Nater, 60, 1630 12th St. N., Fargo, will be at 11 Wednesday in Peace Lutheran Church in Fargo with a graveside service at 2 Wednesday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Wahpeton, N.D. She died Monday in a local hospital. Sophie A. Veflin was born Nov. 30, 1920, at New Effington, S.D., where she graduated from high school. She married Mr. Nater Sept. 18, 1941, at Browns Valley, Minn. and the couple lived at Sisseton and New Effington, S.D. before moving to Wahpeton in 1948. In 1975 they moved to Wheaton, Minn. and they moved to Fargo in 1976 where they have lived since. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Gordon (Claryce) Swanson, 1608 19th St. S., Moorhead; two sons, Leroy Nater, Fond du Lac, Wis.; Gary Nater, Cottage Grove, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Bertha) Carlson, New Effington; Mrs. Earl (Ruth) Babst, Breckenridge, Minn.; a brother, Nenciel Veflin, Wahpeton; and seven grandchildren.
