Obituary
Lori Oliphant
August 30, 1958 — June 27, 2014
Lori L. Oliphant, 55, Abercrombie, ND, passed away Friday, June 27, 2014, at St. Francis Healthcare Campus, Breckenridge, MN, under the care of Riveredge Hospice. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, 4:00 PM at Willow Creek Chapel, Wahpeton, with Rev. Mark Manning officiating. There will be visitation with Lori's family one hour before the service. Vertin-Munson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Lori Lynn Wateland was born August 30, 1958, at Breckenridge, MN, the daughter of Kermit and Sharon (Gast) Wateland. She grew up in Wahpeton and graduated from Wahpeton High School. She attended Josef's School of Hair Design. Lori married Danny Oliphant on April 25, 1981. The couple lived in Foxhome, MN and she moved to Breckenridge-Wahpeton in 1999 and to Abercrombie in 2002. Lori worked at St. Francis Hospital as a Ward Clerk for many years; later working for Essentia in Fargo and more recently in Essentia in Wahpeton.
Lori enjoyed spending time with family, especially with her grandchildren and having her companion pet, "Lucky" with her. She enjoyed cooking.
Lori is survived by her two sons, Jeremie (Jill) Oliphant, and Tanner (Alysha) Oliphant, Foxhome, MN; six grandchildren: Austin, Cassandra, Lawson, Marra, Sienna and Danika; her brother, Lane (Paige Gratton) Wateland, Wahpeton; two nephews, Christopher and Kelly Wateland, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Kermit and Sharon.
