Obituary
Dora M. Olson
Dora M. Olson, 55, Mooreton, died Wednesday, Dec. 30 at St. Francis Hospital, Breckenridge. The funeral will be 2 Saturday at Mooreton Lutheran Church, Rev. John Holt officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.
Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening with a prayer service at 7 at Vertin's-Wahpeton Funeral Home Chapel, and at the church for the hour prior to the service.
Dora M. Stelton, was born Oct. 5, 1926 at Fairmount, N.D., to John and Julia (Garrison) Stelton. She attended schools in Rosholt, S.D. She married Gerald Olson, Jr., April 20, 1948 at Wahpeton. They farmed in Ibsen Township, near Mooreton. He died Feb. 1, 1977. She continued to live on the farm.
She was a member of Mooreton Lutheran Church, the ALCW, and she had taught Sunday school. She was a member of the Mooreton American Legion Auxiliary and a former member of the Richland County Farmers Union Board of Directors.
Survivors include three daughters and two sons, Mrs. Charles (Peggy) Prochnow, Fairmount; Mrs. Francis (Carol) Roller, Anoka, Minn.; Mrs. Luther (Barb) Sannes, Wahpeton; Michael, Minot; Douglas, Mooreton; six grandchildren, her mother, Mrs. Julia Stelton, Wahpeton; two sisters and two brothers, Alta Stelton Fargo; Mrs. Leonard (Clara) Osborn, Fairmount; Roy and Bert Stelton, Wahpeton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, father, a brother and a grandchild.
Casket bearers will be Robert Krause, Neal Skovholt, Ray Smith, Jr., Aloysius Althoff, Thomas Wold, Roger Schmitt, Floyd Hauschild, and Lyle Osmundson.
