Obituary

Antonia Olson was born June 19, 1912, at Lancaster, MN, to Anton and Ann Bernako. She moved to rural Mooreton as a child to live with her sister, Mary, after the death of her Father. It was here that she completed her eighth grade education. She married Reuben Olson on August 23, 1934, at Mooreton. Ann and Reuben farmed south of Galchutt for several years before moving into Wahpeton in late 1951. Ann was active at St. John's Catholic Church. She worked at the Corner Drug for five years and at JC Penney Company for 20 years. Her husband, Reuben, was a former Chief of the Wahpeton Police Department for 17 years. Ann and Reuben enjoyed many years at their lake on East Lost Lake. The couple entered St. Catherine's Living Center in December of 2006; where they celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary this past August.

Ann was a member of St. John's Catholic Church; Christian Mother's; Sons of Norway; and she liked to fish, and crochet Afghans.

She is survived by her husband, Reuben Olson, SCLS, Wahpeton, ND; her daughter, Dolores (Joe) Hager, Yuma, AZ; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, grand-nieces, and grand nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters, Angeline, Mary, and Rose.
