Rex Pearson
February 11, 1924 — May 31, 2012
Rex A. Pearson, Breckenridge, MN, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012, at St. Francis Healthcare Campus, Breckenridge, MN. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, June 5, 1:00 PM at Willow Creek Chapel, Wahpeton, with Rev. Dragos Profir officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Wahpeton. Arrangements have been entrusted to Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton.
Rex Albert Pearson was born on February 11, 1924 at Hecla, South Dakota, the son of Sven and Gladys (Cooper) Pearson. Rex was raised near Henning, MN, where he attended school. He was united in marriage to Ardis Engle on May 6, 1943. The couple lived in the Breckenridge-Wahpeton area, where Rex drove truck. Ardis passed away on August 5, 1994. Rex married Doris Valeski on October of 1996. The couple resided in Gwinn, Michigan and Rex moved into the St. Francis Home in Breckenridge in October of 2009.
Surviving family members include five children: Linda (Eldon) Devnich, Lincoln, NE, Marilyn (Richard) Korinek, Moorhead, MN, Gary (Lucia) Pearson, Stillwater, MN, Dan Pearson, Frazee, MN; and Mark Pearson, Henning, MN, 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; two brothers, Marvin (Betty) Pearson, Motley, MN and Clayton Pearson, Mooreson, Il.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ardis, four brothers and two sisters.
