Margaret Pausch
June 22, 1927 — January 22, 2016
Margaret C. Pausch, 88, Wahpeton, ND passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 at St. Catherine's Living Center, Wahpeton, ND. The Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 29, at St. John's Catholic Church, Wahpeton, ND, with Rev. Dale Lagodinski as Celebrant. Visitation will be Friday, one hour before the service at the church, with a Christian Mothers Rosary at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Garden, Wahpeton. Arrangements have been entrusted with Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton.
Margaret was born June 22, 1927, in rural Wahpeton, ND, the twin daughter of Fred and Cecilia (Schmitt) Formaneck. She lived on a farm north of Wahpeton and graduated from Wahpeton High School in 1945. She was united in marriage to Donald Pausch on August 27, 1946 at St. Adalbert's Catholic Church, Wahpeton. The couple farmed in Summit Township where they raised their three children. Margaret loved working beside her husband on the farm. The couple enjoyed to travel and spend winters in Arizona. Margaret entered St. Catherine's Living Center in 2013, Don passed away on January 14, 2015.
Margaret was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and was active in the Ladies Circle and a member of the Christian Mothers. She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, knitting, working in her garden and going on fishing trips to Canada.
Margaret is survived by her twin children, Merlyn (Becky) Pausch, rural Wahpeton; and Marlene Ells, Gackle, ND; her daughter-in-law, Karen Pausch, Wahpeton; her 7 grandchildren: Janel (Cory) Peplinski, Kimberly (Brock) Lorenzetti, Kyle (Melissa) Pausch, Corey (Stephanie) Pausch, Jesse (Tori) Pausch, Dana (Nicole) Pausch, Taylor (Stephanie) Ells, 14 great-grandchildren; twin sister Mary Kosel, Wahpeton and two sisters-in-law, Kathy and Alice Pausch.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Don, her son Fred, a brother, Harold Formaneck and a sister, Lorene Ferguson.

The Garden of the Christus is located in the Memorial Gardens, which comprises the northern half of the cemetery.
