Obituary
Olaf Raftevold
Olaf B. Raftevold, 74, Wahpeton, died Saturday, Oct. 1, at his home. The funeral will be at Vertin's-Wahpeton Chapel at a time and day to be set.
He was born Dec. 19, 1908 at Wahpeton to Lars and Bergit (Olsen) Raftevold. He attended local schools and was employed as an auto body man at Loll's and Scheiterlien's garages in Wahpeton. He retired and continued to live in Wahpeton.
Survivors include four sons and a daughter, Ronald, Fargo; Master Sergeant James Raftevold, Fort Bragg, N.C.; Darrel, West Fargo; Rick, Barnesville; Mrs. Douglas (Joan) Ackling, Perham, Minn.; 15 grandchildren, an great-grandson; two brothers and a sister; Andrew, Glenn, and Mrs. Ralph (Lillian) Hoffman, all of Wahpeton; and a step-brother, Jerry Rossum, Moorhead.
He was preceded in death by two stepbrothers.
