Obituary
Betty Ready
Mrs. Albert (Betty) Ready, 57, Wahpeton, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, at St. Francis Hospital, Breckenridge. The funeral will be at 11 Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton, Rev. Ernest Bartels officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening with a prayer service at 7:30 at Vertin's-Wahpeton Funeral Home Chapel. There will be visitation at the church for the hour prior to the service.
Betty Fay Rossum was born Aug. 31, 1924 at Bordulac, N.D., to Ralph and Jonette Johnson, Rossum. She moved with her family to McLeod where she was raised and attended local schools in Freeman Township. She married Albert H. Ready, June 2, 1945 at McLeod. They lived at Wahpeton. She was employed at St. Francis Nursing Home in the dietary department for the past 18 years. She was active working with the Talent and Hobby Show for many years.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, two sons, Roger, Larimore, N.D.; Myron, Breckenridge; three daughters, Mrs. Lyle (Kay) Green, Breckenridge; Mrs. Robert (Karen) Betzlaff, Fergus Falls; Mrs. Larry (Linda) Janich, Coon Rapids, Minn.; 19 grandchildren and a brother, Byron, Wahpeton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son.
Casket bearers will be Kenneth Rossum, Keith and Neil Ileg, Tom Bernotas, Lynn Thoe, and Carl Glander, III.
