Obituary
Florence Roth (time change)
Florence Emma Martha Roth, 75, Wahpeton, died Tuesday, Feb. 8, at United Hospital, Grand Forks. The funeral will be at 3 Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton, Rev. Ernest Bartels officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.
Visitation will be at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Friday. There will be a prayer service at the church at 11:45 a.m. that day.
She was born May 13, 1907 at Lidgerwood to William and Annie (Kackman) Lueck. She was raised and attended schools at Lidgerwood and married Jacob J. Roth Sept. 6, 1926, at Hankinson. They lived there until 1935 when they moved to Wahpeton. Her husband was a Standard Oil agent at Wahpeton for 27 years. He died Oct. 2, 1974. She continued to live in Wahpeton until November 1982 when she moved to Grand Forks.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. .
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Jacquelyn Johanson, Clarissa, Minn., Mrs. Truman (Connie) Kingsley, Wheatland, N.D.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Louise Meyer, Wahpeton, Mrs. Mathilda Lickness, Veblen, S.D., and Mrs. Dorothy Melcher, St. Paul.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers.
Casket bearers will be Kenneth Roth, Vernon Rettig, Kermit Lee, Clifford Lickness, Bruce Dockter and Ronald Melcher.
