Obituary
Clifford C. Schennum
Clifford C. Schennum, 80, Wahpetno, formerly Mooreton, died Monday, Nov. 21, at St. Francis Hospital, Breckenridge. The funeral will be at 1 Wednesday at Mooreton Lutheran Church, Rev. John Holt officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.
Visitation is this afternoon and evening (Tuesday) and Wednesday until 11 a.m. at Vertin's-Wahpeton West Chapel and at the church prior to the service.
He was born Oct. 4, 1903 at Wahpeton to Lewis and Betsy (Johnson) Schennum. He attended school and was raised at Wahpeton. He married Laura Bagg in 1924. They farmed at Mooreton until his wife died June 20, 1980. He moved to Wahpeton where he has since resided.
He was a member of Mooreton Lutheran Church and The Mooreton Enterprise.
Survivors include a sister and a brother, Mrs. Elaine Troxel, Breckenridge; Curtis, Denver, Colo.; two grandchildren, Greg Goebel and Ginger Gardner, both Tavernier, Fla., and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, and a daughter, three sisters and a brother.
Casket bearers will be George Menne, J.D. Rehmet, Virgil Pausch, Harold Ford, Clyde Klosterman and Art Diederich.
