Obituary
Julia Wold
Mrs. George (Julia) Wold, 92, Wahpeton, died Monday at St. Francis Hospital, Breckenridge. There will be a private funeral service Wednesday at Vertin's Wahpeton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.
There will be visitation this afternoon and evening (Tuesday) and Wednesday until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Julia Johnson was born Feb. 12, 1888 at Galchutt, the daughter of Theo and Karen (Paulson) Johnson. She lived in Ibsen Township, rural Galchutt, during her entire lifetime except for a few years spend in Bowman, N.D., where her parents homesteaded. She married George Wold Aug. 19, 1916. They farmed in Ibsen Township until 1950 when they moved to Wahpeton. He died in 1958.
She was a God Star mother and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Galchutt.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Eddie (Edythe) Lehman, Breckenridge; Mrs. Fred (Ruby) Aipperspach, Jamestown; Mrs. Dean (Fern) Hutchinson, Tumwater, Wash., and Mrs. Harold (Hatty) Lenzmeier, Wahpeton; one son, Earl, rural Wahpeton; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Mathilda Johnson, Kirkland, Wash., and Mrs. Emma Wold, Wahpeton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, her parents and three brothers.
