Darlene Wacha
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Darlene Wacha, 45, Minneapolis, formerly of Wahpeton, died Sunday in Minneapolis after being struck by a car. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Vertin's Wahpeton Funeral Home, the Rev. Stephen Hanning officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Wahpeton.
Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon and evening and Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Darlene Medenwald was born Dec. 14, 1934 at Hankinson, the daughter of William and Bertha (Heesch) Medenwald. She was raised and attended schools in Hankinson. She married Ray Wacha in 1961. They lived in Wahpeton.
She is survived by four sons, Mark, Scott, Craig and Steven, all of Wahpeton; her parents; one brother, William Medenwald, Jr.; and one sister, Mrs. Leo (Ardell) Kjellerup, Wahpeton.
