Obituary
Lucille Emma Kressin was born January 20, 1919, the daughter of Arthur and Mathilda (Radig) Kressin near Barney, ND. She grew up near Barney and attended rural school. She served in the Women's Army Corps from 1943 to 1945 and was united in marriage to Warran T. Ward on August 27, 1946, at Minneapolis, MN. They moved to Colorado in 1955, to Boulder, CO, in 1959, and to Longmont, CO, in 1980. The couple farmed in North Dakota, Louisville, Kentucky, and Longmont.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Lucille is survived by her son and three daughters, Gary (Cindy) Ward, Platteville, CO., Kathryn Kloberdanz, Greeley, CO, Debra (Alan) Cook, Summer, Washington, Denise Ward, Wheat Ridge, CO; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Louise Roche, Fargo, Gertrude Nelson, Alexandria, MN, Alberta Tollefson, Mesa, AZ, Doris (Edwin) Olson, Dilworth, MN, Charlotte James, North Glen, CO, Emily Hayes, Louisville, Kentucky, Sylvia (Alan) Kelley, Paso Robles, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Warren; her son, David in 1949; three brothers, Corwin, Kenneth and Franklin; and her sister, Marjorie.
