Ella Weishaar
December 30, 1932 — August 7, 2020
Ella Weishaar, age 87, of Wahpeton, ND, went to be with the Lord on August 7, 2020. A private family service will be held in the coming days.
Ella was born on December 30, 1932, to Christ and Karolina Kohler. She grew up in the Benedict, ND, area and on November 11, 1951, she married Ervin Weishaar. She raised her family in the Minot, ND, area and in 1965, they moved to Eureka, SD, and purchased a grocery store. She helped in the family business and after a couple of short moves, the family called Wahpeton home in 1973. She loved her family and enjoyed doing crafts and giving them to family and friends. She was a master at cooking and baking, always welcoming anyone to enjoy a homemade meal.
She is survived by her husband, Ervin Weishaar; a daughter, Bonnie (Neil) Schroeder; a son, Alan (Cynthia) Weishaar; grandchildren, Adam Schroeder, Alex (Stephanie) Schroeder, Alicia (Kyle) Odens, and Andrea (Nathan) Thompson; great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Isaac Odens, Liam and Analeigh Thompson; a sister, Jeannie (John) Bush; an aunt, Emily Colby; a close cousin, Luci (Tony) Goldade; a dear friend, Theresa Schock; five sisters-in-law; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and loving family members.
Ella was preceded in death by her parents; six, brothers (one an infant); and one sister.
