Obituary
William Anderson
William G. Anderson, 84, Breckenridge, died Thursday, Jan. 6 at St. Francis Hospital, Breckenridge. The funeral will be at 1 Monday at Bethel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton, Rev. Marvin Hartmann officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.
Visitation is Sunday afternoon and evening at Vertin's-Wahpeton Funeral Home Chapel and until 11 a.m. Monday at the chapel and at the church for the hour prior to the service.
He was born Aug. 23, 1898 to Austin and Dorothea (Olson) Anderson at Kathryn, N.D. He grew up and attended schools at Kathryn. He farmed with his family there. He married Hattie M. Stahl Jan. 4, 1922 at Moorhead. They farmed at Kathryn until 1936 when they moved to Wahpeton where he was employed at Lillegard Chevrolet. They lived in Wahpeton until 1956 when they moved to Breckenridge. She died Dec. 13, 1981. He continued living in Breckenridge until the past few months when he resided at the Wahpeton Health Care Center.
He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ray (Ferne) Cimbura, Breckenridge; three grandchildren, a brother, Oscar, Kathryn, and a sister, Mrs. Anna Peterson, Valley City.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Casket bearers will be Orris Anderson, Gary Anderson, Aaron Ekern, Walter Nelson, Hubert Larson and James Peterson.
