Hattie Anderson
Mrs. Hattie M. Anderson, 79, Breckenridge, died Sunday, Dec. 13 at St. Francis Hsopital, Breckenridge. The funeral will be at 1 Wednesday at Bethel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton, with Rev. M.L. Hartmann officiating,. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.
Visitation is Tuesday after 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. and until 11 a.m. Wednesday at Vertin's-Wahpeton Funeral Home Chapel and for the hour prior to the service at the church.
She was born May 19, 1902 to Henry and Annie (Wiger) Stahl at Jackson, Minn. the family moved to LaMoure, N.D. where she attended local schools. The family later moved to Kathryn, N.D. She married William G. Anderson at Moorhead, Minn., Jan. 4, 1922. They farmed at Kathryn until 1936 when they moved to Wahpeton. They lived there until 1956 when they moved to Breckenridge. She was employed at the Liebers Store which later became Ferrell's and Bon Jo's in Wahpeton from 1942 until she retired in 1972. She continued to live in Breckenridge.
She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, the ALCW and a circle.
Survivors include her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Ray (Ferne) Cimbura, Breckenridge; three grandchildren, six sisters and a brother, Mrs. Gust (Blanche) Johanneson, Tacoma, Wash.; Mrs. Grace Ladd, Pacoima, Calif.; Mrs. Lloyd (Alice) Hanson, Fargo; Mrs. Clare Jensen, Fargo; Mrs. Melvin (Lil) Helland, Tacoma, Wash.; Mrs. John (Bernice) Weisman, St. Paul; and Wallace B. Stahl, Seattle.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
