The funeral for Kenneth Marvin Christensen, 79, Breckenridge, Minn., will be at 11 Tuesday in Breckenridge Lutheran Church, with burial in Wahpeton, N.D. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 Monday in Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton, and one hour before services in the church. He died Friday, March 22, 1996.
Mr. Christensen was born June 7, 1916, in Canada. At age 9, he moved with his family to the Galchutt, N.D., area where he grew up. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1942 to 1945. He married Ethel Meslow Sept. 17, 1952. They lived in Doran, Minn., until 1961, when they moved to Breckenridge, where he delivered fuel oil for Mobil. He later worked as custodian for North Dakota State College of Science-Wahpeton, until he retired in 1982.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Gary (Sarah), Hillsboro, Ore.; a daughter, Gayle (John) Meehleib, Moorhead; two sisters, Ethel Aarhus, Walcott, N.D., Mabel Leopoldt, Jamestown, N.D.; and four grandchildren.
