Obituary
Alvin H. Fahsholz
Alwin H. Fahsholz, 75, Wahpeton, formerly Barney, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, at a Fargo hospital. The funeral will be at 10:30 Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton, with Rev. Ernest Bartels officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.
Visitation is Thursday afternoon and evening with a prayer service at 8 at Vertin's-Wahpeton East Chapel. There will also be visitation at the church for the hour prior to the service.
He was born Jan. 30, 1907 at Clarksville, Iowa, to Ferdinand and Bertha (Becker) Fahsholtz. In 1910 he moved with his family to Barney where he was raised and attended school. In 1932 he moved to Nansen Township, rural Barney, where he farmed. He married Igmgard Telschow June 20, 1956 at Nashua, Iowa. They farmed in Nansen Township until 1972 when they retired. In 1960 they moved to Wahpeton.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. While at Barney he was a member of Peace Lutheran Church where he served as an elder and on the finance committee.
Survivors include his wife, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
Casket bearers will be Paul Denow, Bruce Dockter, Curtis Fahsholz, Dr. Wendell Wall, Gordy Olson, and Victor Fahsholz.
