Obituary
Barbara Louise Folden was born May 24, 1930, at Pelican Rapids, MN to Burnett and Effie (Langlie) Sethre. She received her formal education through the 8th grade at Pelican Rapids, and graduated from Newfolden, MN High School. In 1951 she received her Registered Nursing degree from St. John's Nursing School in Fargo, ND. On September 2, 1950, she married Donovan Folden at Moorhead, MN. Barbara held RN positions in the nursing field at Memphis, TN, Anacortes, WA, Oakland, CA, Fargo Public Health, Wahpeton Indian School (now know as, Circle of Nations), Richland County Public Health, St. Francis Hospital, and the Richland County Migrant program.
She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary, and had an unconditional love for her grandchildren.
Barb is survived by her husband, Donovan Folden, Pelican Rapids, MN; her son, Paul Donovan (LeeAnn) Folden, Wahpeton; her daughter, Nancy Louise (Mustafa) Halilovic, Fargo; 6 grandchildren, Dustin Paul (Trisha) Folden, Lafayette, IN, Spc. 4 Braden Donovan Folden, U.S. Army, Ft. Benning Georgia, Alexandra Lee Folden, Wahpeton, Turner Jameson Folden, Wahpeton, Aron Donovan Halilovic, Fargo, Donovan Paul Halilovic, Fargo; one brother, Stuart (Joan) Sethre, Newfolden, MN; and 4 nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
