Obituary
Gertrude MacLaughlin, 76, Wahpeton, died Saturday, Feb. 15, at St. Francis Home, Breckenridge. The funeral will be today (Tuesday) at 1 p.m. at Vertin's Wahpeton Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Eggebraten officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be today until the time of the service at Vertin's Wahpeton Funeral Chapel. Gertrude Steenerson was born Feb. 22, 1909, at Thief River Falls, Minn., to Gunder and Martha (Dahlen) Steenerson. She was raised and attended schools at Thief River Falls, Minn. She married Harry H. MacLaughlin Nov. 12, 1933 at Min-neapolis. They lived in Wahpeton. Her husband died July 12, 1976. She continued to live in Wahpeton until moving to St. Francis Home in December 1985. She was a member of the Wahpeton United Church of Christ (Congrega-tional), and Wahpeton American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by two sons, Charles D. MacLaughlin, rural Pelican Rapids; Judge Harry H. MacLaughlin, Minneapolis; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren; one brother, Albert Steenerson, and two sisters, Ida and Lillian Steenerson, all Minneapolis. Casket bearers will be Douglas MacLaughlin, Dale DeKrey, Jim Syvertson, John and Mark Steener-son, Paul Larson.
