Obituary
Irene was born June 30, 1927 in Barney, ND, the daughter of Carl and Tillie (Wittkop) Buchholz. She grew up near Barney and attended school at Wyndmere, ND. Irene also did babysitting and worked at a restaurant in Wyndmere.
In 1946, Irene married Marcus Peterson. They lived on a farm north of Wyndmere until 1951, when they moved to Dwight, ND. Marcus died in September, 1968. Irene continued living in Dwight, and on July 6, 1970, married Clarence Meyer. They lived in Dwight until 1981 when Clarence passed away. Irene then moved to Rainbow Court in Wahpeton, ND where she lived until moving to Hankinson, ND. She lived in Hankinson for three years and returned to living at Rainbow Court until November, 2006, when she moved to New Hope.
Irene enjoyed reading, cooking and working in her flower garden. Her most favorite times were spent visiting with her family.
