Ernest Myers
December 23, 1945 — February 8, 2012
Ernest "Ernie" Dale Myers, 66, Moorhead, MN went to be with the Lord on February 8, 2012 at Bethesda Hospital, St. Paul, MN. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Vertin-Munson Wahpeton Chapel (503 North Third Avenue) Wahpeton, ND. Inurnment will be held at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton, ND. Vertin-Munson Wahpeton is in charge of local arrangements.
Ernest Myers was born on December 23, 1945 in Breckenridge, MN to Little and Louise (LaBounty) Myers. He attended the Wahpeton School System graduating from Wahpeton High School in 1965. He served his country in the United States Army from June of 1965 until June of 1968. He then entered the United States Navy and served on the USS Midway being honorably discharged in 1977. He presently was employed at Berg Grain and Produce, Fargo, ND as an over-the-road truck driver; a job he greatly enjoyed. He retired due to ill health in October of 2011.
Ernie spent much of his free time attending auctions and collecting miniature toys.
He is lovingly survived by a half-sister, Polly Thorp, Freeport, Ill and a half-brother, Paul (Evelyn) Myers, Sacramento, CA, siblings; Eugene (Jan) Myers, Tucson, AZ, Galen (Donna) Myers, Amenia, ND, Donna Meyer, Wyndmere, ND, Carol (Jim) Lehman, Fargo, ND, Ruth Bartholomew, Hastings, MN, David (Renae) Myers, Grand Forks, ND Linda (George) Wright, Leadville, CO, sister-in-law, Napaporn Myers, Houston, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Irvin Myers and an infant sister.
Memorials preferred to the New Life Center, Fargo, ND.
