Obituary
Anna Marie Metcalf
Anna Marie Metcalf, 22, Breckenridge, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, at St. Francis Hospital, Breckenridge. She had undergone heart surgery two weeks ago in Fargo. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at United Methodist Church, Wahpeton, Rev. Norman Winkelman officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.
Visitation is Friday afternoon and evening with a prayer service at 7 at Vertin's-Wahpeton Funeral Home Chapel. There will also be visitation at the chapel until 11 a.m. Saturday and at the church for the hour prior to the service.
Anna Marie Swiontek was born Jan. 6, 1961 at Grand Rapids, Mich., to Richard and Caroline (Wilhelm) Swiontek. When she was six she moved to Breckenridge. She graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1979. She was employed at Hardee's in Breckenridge while in high school and later at Haugen's Restaurant, Wahpeton. She married Marsten Metcalf, Jan. 26, 1983 at Wahpeton. They have lived in Breckenridge since. She had done babysitting at home since her marriage.
She was a member of the Wahpeton United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, her parents, Richard Swiontek, Fergus Falls; Caroline Swiontek, Breckenridge; three brothers and five sisters, Joseph, Fargo; Richard M., Foxhome; Ted, Breckenridge; Mrs. Brent (Char) Tracy, Fairmount; Mrs. Douglas (Barbara) Koppelman, Wahpeton; Mrs. Kevin (Mary) Nordick, Wahpeton; Martha and Theresa, Swiontek, Breckenridge.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
