Obituary

Alma Grinager was born on November 10, 1914, in Jenkins, MN, the daughter of Nicolai and Martha (Augedahl) Grinager. At the age of four she moved to Breckenridge, MN area, where she was raised by her mother, Martha and her step-father, John Lindstrom. They moved to a farm in North Dakota in 1922, where she attended local schools. She married Harold H. Ness in 1941. They farmed in the Wahpeton area until Harold died in 1953. Alma moved to Wahpeton where she worked for the Olivers' Grocery Stores. She married Howard R. Morris in 1959. She loved to garden, cook, bake, do crafts, participated in Bethel Lutheran Church's activities, and spend time at their cabin on Pickerel Lake. Howard died in 1980, Alma remained at home in Wahpeton until she move to Fargo in 1997.

Alma is survived by her stepdaughters, Mary Atchinson, Moorhead, MN, Susan (Curtis) Lindlauf, Fargo, ND; a step-son, Howard Morris, Jr.; eight step-grandchildren; seventeen step great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; a nephew and several nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; three brothers, Ove, Adolph and Harry; her sister, Manda Hudson; step-brothers, George and Fred Lindstrom; and step-sisters, Anna Anderson and Betty Swanson.
