Obituary

Margaret L. Muehlberg, 95, Breckenridge, MN and formerly Wahpeton, ND died on Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at the Pioneer Senior Cottages, Breckenridge, MN. The funeral Service will be 2:00pm, Friday, May 23, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton, ND. Visitation will be the day of the service at Immanuel Lutheran Church from noon until 2:00pm. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton. Arrangements are with the Vertin-Munson Wahpeton Funeral Home.

Margaret Louise Muehlberg was born February 13, 1913 at Adrian, ND, the daughter of Frederick C. and Anna B. (Smith) Roehr. She grew up in Adrian, ND, and graduated from High School at Nortonville, ND. Margaret attended Ellendale Normal College, Ellendale, ND, where she obtained her teaching certificate. She taught schools for 15 years, the last few at Antelope School near Barney, ND. Margaret was united in marriage to Willard A. Muehlberg on August 23, 1942 at Jamestown, ND. The couple lived and farmed northeast of Barney for 38 years. After retiring in 1980, the couple moved into Wahpeton, ND. Willard passed away March 22, 2000. Margaret moved to the Leach Home in Wahpeton in 2001 and later to St. Catherine's Living Center, Wahpeton. She entered Pioneer Senior Cottages in Fergus Falls, MN, moving to Breckenridge, MN, when the Cottages were built.

Margaret was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church, Barney, ND, LWML, and taught Sunday School. When they moved to Wahpeton the couple transferred their membership to Immanuel Lutheran Church, where Margaret was involved in LWML and Sewing Circle. She enjoyed gardening and quilting; making many items for her family.

Margaret is survived by her five children; Judy (Ron) McDougall, Wahpeton; Scott (Jan) Muehlberg, Canby, MN; Jeff (Bev) Muehlberg, Wahpeton; Mark (Brenda) Muehlberg, Grand Forks, ND; and Kim (Dan) Halter, Fargo, ND, 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; her brother, Herbert Roehr, Oregon; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five sisters and three brothers.

Active casketbearers: Jeff Muehlberg, Scott Muehlberg, Mark Muehlberg, Mac McDougall, Dan Halter, Brent Muehlberg.

Honorary Casketbearers: All her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

The Garden of the Christus is located in the Memorial Gardens, which comprises the northern half of the cemetery.
