Leona Vedder
Breckenridge, Minn.
Leona Tillie Vedder, 87, Breckenridge, died Tuesday, March 2, 2004, in St. Francis Home, Breckenridge.
Leona Roeder was born Oct. 20, 1916, in Hankinson N.D., where she grew up and attended school. On June 14, 1936, she married Milton Vedder in Hankinson. They lived in Hankinson for 12 years, then lived for five years in Ada, Minn. In 1961, they moved to Breckenridge where she worked as a waitress for 22 years at Cal's Diner. Her husband died in 1978.
She is survived by a son, Robert (Christine), Breckenridge; a daughter, Diane Stotts, Roseau, Minn.; two brothers, Larry (Shirley), Marshall, Minn., Orville (Lucille), Walla Walla, Wash.; a sister, Delores (Reuben) Medenwald, Breckenridge; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday from 1 to 2 in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton, N.D.
Funeral: Friday at 2 in the church.
Burial: Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.
