Obituary
Nanciel Veflin, son of Ole and Anna (Riste) Veflin was born on September 27, 1928 at New Effington, South Dakota, where he grew up and attended school. After his schooling, Nanciel farmed with his parents in the White Rock, South Dakota area. He was united in marriage to Mary Lande July 12, 1969 at New Effington, South Dakota. They lived in Wheaton, Minnesota until 1970 when they moved to Wahpeton, where Nanciel worked for Schuler Grain Elevator. After his retirement, he drove school bus for the Breckenridge School District. Nanciel was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and working on his lawn.
Nanciel passed away on Monday, May 26, 2003 at St. Francis Medical Center, Breckenridge, Minnesota. He was 74 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; three step-sons, Jerry Bigalke, San Francisco, CA, Roger (Marolyn) Bigalke, Becker, MN, and James (Denise) Lande, Breckenridge, MN; one step-daughter, Janice (Frankl) Linval, Duluth, MN; 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Mary Ann (Donald) Arens, his parents, four brothers and three sisters.
