Obituary
John F. Zitsow, 89, formerly Wahpeton-Breckenridge
John F Zitzow, 89, of Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, Minn. formerly of the Wahpeton, N.D. and Breckenridge, Minn. area died Wednesday, Dec. 13 1995 at Eventide. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Dec. 16, 1995 at 10 a.m. at the Bottolfson Chapel, Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, Minn. Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton, N.D.
John F Zitzow, son of Theodore and Margaret (Zimmerman) Zitzow, was born on Oct. 3, 1906 at Jersey City, N.J. he grew up and was educated there. He moved with his father to Perham, Minn. He was united in marriage with Edna A. Flatau on June 1, 1930 at Perham, Minn. He farmed until 1937. They moved to Wahpeton-Breckenridge where he owned and operated a plumbing and heating business until retiring in 1961. During World War II, he did defense work in Wisconsin and California. IN March of 1994, he moved to the Eventide Living Center, Moorhead, Minn. His wife, Edna died on Dec. 26, 1994.
He is survived by a daughter, Enid (LeNoel) Lichtsinn, Fargo, N.D.; two sons, Kenneth (Kathryn) Zitzow, Shakopee, Minn.; and Duane (Lois) Zitzow, LoJolla, Calif.; one sister Mrs. Lester Wallin, Hoboken, N.J.; and four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
