Obituary
Edna A. Zitzow, formerly Wahpeton-Breckenridge
Edna A. Zitzow, 88, Moorhead, Minn.; died Monday, Dec. 26, 1994, at Eventide Home, Moorhead. Memorial services will be held Friday, Dec. 30, at 10 a.m. at the Bottolfson Chapel, Eventide Home, Moorhead. There will be no visitation. Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton, N.D.
Arrangements are by the Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, N.D.
Edna A. Flatau, daughter of Emil and Emma (Beyer) Flatau, was born June 1, 1906, in Hobart Township, Otter Tail County, Minn., near Perham, Minn. She grew up and was educated there, graduating from Perham High School and then the Moorhead State College. She taught school in New York Mills and Vergas, Minn., until her marriage to John F Zitzow June 1, 1930, at Perham. They lived in the Wahpeton-Breckenridge area for many years and moved to Fargo-Moorhead in the early 1990s.
She is survived by her husband: John F Zitzow, Moorhead; a daughter and two sons: Enid (LeNoel) Lichtsinn, Fargo; Kenneth (Kathryn) Zitzow, Shakopee, Minn.; Duane (Lois) Zitzow, LaJolla, Calif.; three sisters: Louise Taubert, Moorhead; Gertude Kindred, Washington; Ione Hendon, Long Beach, Calif.; and four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
